Step 1: Check your Shoe Size

Firstly, all our shoes use Australian standard sizing available in sizes 5-10 AND 5 - 11

When choosing a shoe size, the best advice we can give is to take a look at your exisitng shoe collection. Forget the Nike's or runners, only compare similar dress shoes which use Australian sizing. If you have shoes from Europe or the USA take a look at the size comparison table below
You may notice that you tend to choose certain sizes with particular styles. e.g. You may find that you need one size smaller in closed shoes than in open shoes. Keep this in mind for step 2.

Step 2: Choosing a style:

When choosing your shoes, also consider how the style may effect the fit. The basic shoe style options are: 1) Closed Toe/Open Heel, 2) Closed Toe/Closed Heel, 3) Open Toe/Closed Heel and 4) Open Toe/Open Heel.

Open Toe/Open Heel, Open Toe/Closed Heel, Closed Toe/Open Heel, CLosed Toe/Closed Heel

As a general rule, Open Toe/Open Heels styles are the most forgiving as your foot can move back or forwards without restricition. Step 3: Understanding Heel Heights

The footwear industry measures heel heights of wedding shoes to the INSIDE OF and NOT THE BACK of the heel. This creates some confusion. To get a better idea of the actual height of your wedding shoes you should add about 1/2 inch (1.25cm) to the listed height.

Listed Height	Actual Height
1 inch heel - 2.5 cm	1 1/2 inch heel - 3.8 cm
1 3/4 inch heel - 4.4 cm	2 1/4 inch heel - 5.7 cm
3 inch heel - 7.6 cm	3 1/2 inch heel - 8.9 cm

One other little known fact is that the height of the heel goes up along with the size of the wedding shoes! Let's say you and your friend buy the same wedding shoes and they are listed as a 1 inch heel. From the chart above we know that these wedding shoes are in actuality closer to 1 1/2 inches high. But, if you wear a size 5 and your friend wears a size 11, her wedding shoes will be approximately 1/4 inch higher than yours!
